SMSC + British Values
At Fairfield we teach about SMSC and within this, fundamental British Values. This is through the curriculum, the Personal Development tutor time programme and whole school Experience Days.
- At Fairfield we believe in keeping pupils safe from and building their resilience to the risks of extremism and radicalisation.
- At Fairfield we make pupils aware of how radicalisation can occur and learn about the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and understanding of different faiths and beliefs.
- At Fairfield we create a safe environment in which pupils can debate controversial issues.
- At Fairfield our teaching about SMSC, British Values and Prevent includes being safe.

Diversity
Fairfield staff receive regular training on equality and diversity and we are proud of our diverse and inclusive community. These are the messages we share within our school community and celebrate via assemblies, Heritage Days and tutor time.
