Safeguarding

The governors and staff of Fairfield High School for Girls recognise the responsibilities and duty placed upon us to have arrangements in place to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils at the school.

We recognise that all staff and visitors have an active part to play in protecting children from harm.

We recognise our responsibility and duty to report child protection concerns to Children’s Social Care.

The school will raise child protection concerns with parents/carers at the earliest appropriate opportunity and will work in partnership with them and with agencies to improve outcomes for the students we serve.

The school will ensure that all staff are provided with the appropriate training in child protection matters.

Please see the Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy for further information.

Operation Encompass – Supporting children in Domestic violence

Fairfield High School have implemented a new ongoing project that runs jointly between schools and Greater Manchester Police. This project is called Operation Encompass. It aims to support children who are affected by domestic violence by ensuring that their school is informed. This allows the school to support the children. If you have any other questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact the school. Please ask for Dr Beckett in the first instance, or any of the Safeguarding Team.
