Fairfield High School for Girls Celebrates yet another year of Excellent GCSE Results.
Fairfield High School for Girls is celebrating another year of excellent GCSE and vocational results, marking a strong set of achievements for the Class of 2025 in what is the school’s first year as part of Stamford Park Trust.
This remarkable group of young people began their secondary school journey during the challenges of the Covid lockdown, and their resilience, determination, and hard work have truly paid off. The school is proud to share that results remain consistently high, reflecting the strength of the curriculum and teaching, and the commitment of both pupils and staff. Almost 90% of pupils achieved a pass in English, while performance in traditionally challenging subjects has been particularly strong. More than half of pupils studying GCSE Physics achieved a Grade 7 or above, bucking the national trend for girls, and almost half of Computer Science students secured a Grade 7 or higher. Across the curriculum, pupils achieved 87 Grade 9s or equivalent.
The attainment and progress of disadvantaged pupils also continues to rise, with results now matching those of their peers, demonstrating the school’s ongoing commitment to equality of opportunity and progress for all.
Head of School, Miss Fee Lealman, said:
“We are delighted that our pupils have achieved some excellent results, having worked with dedication and commitment during some very challenging times. Our vision is for pupils to be successful learners who are aspirational, inquisitive and hard-working. Once again, this has been realised in this year’s strong examination results.
All pupils, regardless of their circumstances, are given the opportunity to learn in an inspiring environment where they can develop as young people and leave with the grades enabling them to pursue their interests and passions. These results are a testament to their resilience and determination, the dedication of our staff, and the support of families. Well done, Cohort 2025 – we are incredibly proud of you!”
Individual students also celebrated impressive results. Lilly said: “I’m so proud of my results, all my hard work has paid off. I didn’t know what to expect, but now I’m ready to start studying A Levels.” Meanwhile, Faleesha added: “I didn’t expect to do this well – my results are better than I thought they’d be. I’m really pleased with my results and now have a choice of Sixth Form College to attend.”
Fairfield High School for Girls remains committed to its core values of developing successful learners, responsible citizens and confident individuals. As part of Stamford Park Trust, the school continues to align with the Trust’s vision of “Excellence and Ambition for All”, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive in the next stage of their journey.
